Salary: $146,102 - $178,742 + superannuation

The role | Te tūnga   

In this critical role as Agile Coach joining our Modernising Data and Statistics Programme, you will facilitate the definition, transition, and continuous improvement of our agile delivery framework. You will coach and support teams running multiple sprints, ensuring alignment with programme objectives and embedding a culture of continuous improvement and modern agile practices.  

This role would suit someone who can: 

  • Provide effective agile delivery leadership to enable programme outcomes. 

  • Facilitate the definition and development of the agile delivery framework. 

  • Adapt agile principles and frameworks for both IT and non-IT contexts. 

  • Lead the capability uplift of modern agile ways of working within the programme. 

  • Coach team members with varied agile knowledge and experience. 

  • Continuously assess and improve delivery flow, focusing on high-value outcomes. 

  • Identify and address risks, issues, and dependencies collaboratively. 

  • Support the broader Modernising Data and Statistics Programme to deliver outcomes aligned with Stats NZ's strategic ambition. 

  • Foster collaboration with diverse stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment. 

  • Communicate progress, track metrics, and escalate risks or issues as needed. 

  • Demonstrate a willingness to upskill and increase your cultural capability.
