Position Overview

Are you a dedicated medical professional with a passion for student health and wellbeing? Join our team at Massey University to provide patient-centred, culturally appropriate care that promotes wellness for our diverse student population.

Position Details:

  • FTE: 0.4 (15 hours per week) Permanent part time

  • Flexibility: Flexible to meet your needs and availability

  • Environment: Unique and rewarding with adjusted hours and patient load

  • Support: Paid admin time and administrative support

  • Collaboration: Work closely with counsellors and wellbeing advisers to enhance student health literacy, benefiting students beyond their Massey years

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive primary care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team

  • Provide clinical leadership and support to health providers

  • Ensure services meet legal obligations and adhere to Te Whatu Ora and Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles

  • Participate in health service planning, policy development, and continuous improvement

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Registered Medical Practitioner with the Medical Council of New Zealand

  • Experience in General Practice or Family Medicine

  • Strong clinical assessment, problem-solving, and communication skills

  • Knowledge of health systems and regulations
