Identity & Access Management (IAM) Engineers - Permanent

What you'll be doing | He aha tāu e mahi ana
 As an IAM Engineer, you will be at the forefront of our identity and access management efforts, managing the engineering and operational support of MSD’s information systems. You will collaborate closely with technical and delivery teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure the security and efficiency of our IAM processes. Your expertise will help optimize our IAM services in line with evolving technologies and regulatory requirements.

 •    Design, implement, and maintain IAM technologies, ensuring compliance with audit and privacy standards.
•    Collaborate with Practice Managers and Security Architects to integrate security controls in alignment with architectural standards.
•    Manage and maintain configurations of IAM services, ensuring documentation is current throughout the service lifecycle.
•    Work with project teams to integrate identity stores and implement authentication mechanisms.
•    Provide guidance and support to IAM Analysts and Administrators on IAM operations technology and tools.
•    Assist in resolving security incidents related to identity and access management.

 To be successful in this role, you will bring: 

 •    Proven experience in identity and access management technologies, including Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Identity Governance and Administration (IGA).
•    Strong understanding of authentication standards and best practices, including Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and the Principle of Least Privilege (PoLP).
•    Familiarity with security standards such as NZISM, PSR, PCI-DSS, and ISO27001.
•    Knowledge of frameworks and controls such as NIST and ACSC Essential Eight.
•    Relevant qualifications or experience in systems engineering or as a senior IAM Analyst/Administrator.
•    Excellent Communication and problem-solving skills.
•    A commitment to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with best practices in IAM and cybersecurity.
•    Ability to work autonomously while effectively collaborating with teams. 

 Required Skills:

 •    Systems Design (DESN) Level 4: Ability to design systems that meet specified requirements and architectural standards.
•    System Software (SYSP) Level 4: Experience in managing and maintaining infrastructure systems software.
•    Configuration Management (CFMG) Level 4: Proficiency in developing and maintaining configuration management processes.
•    Information Security (SCTY) Level 3: Understanding of security controls and management strategies.

Salary range: $102,817.00 - $124,750.00
