Joining us as our Kaitātari Mātāmua - Whakamōhiotanga Tūraru Senior Risk Insights Analyst will see you work as a data expert across our risk landscape, partnering with the Data team to translate business needs and enterprise goals into effective data-driven solutions, and working closely with our Digital Risk Systems Specialist to elevate the way our risk system enables risk management outcomes.
Tasked with creating an organisational view of Safety, Wellbeing & Risk performance and highlighting insights and trends your mahi will enable effective risk management across the business. Using your experience with analytical tools and our in-house digital risk system (ZORMD) you will transform complex datasets into accurate reporting of SWR performance and facilitate data-driven risk decision-making.
We are looking to welcome our new Kaitātari Mātāmua - Whakamōhiotanga Tūraru Senior Risk Insights Analyst to the Z whānau in January 2025.
You will have the opportunity to
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of organisational risk performance, risk measures and metrics and maintain the database of risk related metrics
Work with Group reporting team to ensure consistency in risk performance measures and metrics
Work with Z’s Data team to identify and adopt analytical and reporting tools
Bring to life the vision and roadmap for risk performance monitoring and reporting with the business
Collaborate with business stakeholders and risk owners to understand data requirements (and gaps) to help inform risk-based decision making
Ensure data governance best practices are followed, maintaining data integrity, quality and consistency across SWR performance metrics
Continuously evaluate and improve data analysis processes and methodologies
Qualifications
What you’ll bring to Z
Senior Data Analysis and Insights experience with knowledge of DOMO, PowerBI, T-SQL, etc
Demonstrated experience in connecting and shaping data for analysis and reporting
Strong analytical skills and conceptual thinking to understand complex issues and gain insights from data
Data visualisation skills to identify patterns and trends, and clearly present insights to enable business stakeholders to be data-insight driven
The ability to generate informed, data-led solutions, providing insightful analysis and pragmatic advice
Excellent stakeholder management skills, influencing collaboratively to bringing key stakeholders and decision makers together and facilitate outcomes
Experience working in an operational environment and/or demonstrated excellence in achieving health and safety outcomes

The base salary range for this role is $129,200 to $144,400 per annum, plus 15% STI based on company performance, a 5% KiwiSaver employer contribution and health insurance through Southern Cross.
