Starting salary: $132,114 - $155,428 negotiable + superannuation

The role | Te tūnga 

This role is permanent, based in Wellington. Reporting to the General Manager Risk and Assurance / General Counsel your focus is strengthening privacy practices and culture. You'll have a leadership role in our privacy awareness, education and training programme and build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders. We see you bringing privacy and leadership expertise and also drive and passion to the role and team.  

This role would suit someone who can bring: 

  • Experience in leading privacy work. 

  • Experience in a similar role that included a large component of strengthening privacy capability. 

  • Deep technical knowledge and experience in privacy and information sharing. 

  • Excellent relationship skills to champion privacy at all levels 

  • Demonstration of mātauranga Māori, fluency in te reo, understanding of tikanga and applying Te Tiriti o Waitangi in a work setting own capability. 

  • Demonstrate a willingness to upskill and increase your cultural capability 

  • Understanding of the machinery of government and related processes and procedures.
