About this role | Mō tēnei tūranga

Full-time, permanent role based in the Kerikeri office in the beautiful Bay of Islands/Pēwhairangi rōhe.

As a Service Manager you will be responsible for managing and leading a team of dedicated professionals (e.g. Education Psychologists, Speech Language Therapists) in the development, co-ordination and provision of services aimed at improving social and educational outcomes for children and young people presenting with complex learning support needs.

You will work collaboratively as a key holder of relationships with schools, kura, kōhanga, early childhood services, and with other external agencies, to ensure the development and provision of effective services, including those needed to deliver success for Māori and Pasifika learners.

Salary range: $115,624 - $139,091 per annum + 3% KiwiSaver. The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects individual skills and experience.

About you | Mōhou ake

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in a relevant field (post-graduate preferred) or an equivalent level of practical experience,

  • Management and Leadership experience in education or social service delivery and an ability to coach, support and motivate others and create a positive working environment,

  • Proven relationship skills and an ability to work with families, and with education and social services to develop and sustain win-win relationships,

  • An ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment,

  • Proven experience in achieving outcomes through developing, managing, delivering and monitoring quality services,

  • Experience working with whānau Māori, facility and social sector staff, to deliver on Ka Hikitia and to raise achievement and reduce disparity for this group

The successful applicant will need to hold a current full New Zealand drivers licence.

About our group and team | Mātau rōpū ake

Te Mahau | Te Tai Raro is a frontline group. Our frontline groups will collectively provide leadership and integrated services to the sector and others. This includes services, such as learning support and education advice and regulation functions for schools and early learning services.
