The Role
As the Web Content Editor you will develop, design and publish a wide range of high-quality content for Massey’s websites. Reporting to the Manager Digital Content, your role involves crafting accurate and engaging content that optimises user experience.

We are seeking a talented digital content professional with a passion for creating accessible, customer-focused web content. The ideal candidate will have strong content management skills, advocate for user needs, and drive continuous improvement. Proven skills in writing for the web are essential for this role.

Location
We will consider candidates in Palmerston North or Wellington campus.

Salary Band
$67,184 to $95,514 (based on skills and experience).

Key Responsibilities

  • Write, edit, and manage accessible, user-focused web content for the Massey University website.

  • Work closely with subject matter experts from around the university to refine, support and guide their web presence.

  • Support the continuous improvement of user journeys and advocate for user needs.

  • Implement best practices in web content and information architecture on public-facing platforms.

What You’ll Bring

  • A bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, or a related field is preferred.

  • At least five years’ experience in web writing, content management, or content design.

  • Strong writing, editing, and content development skills.

  • Expertise in analytics and reporting tools, such as Google Tag Manager, GA4, and Looker Studio.

  • Experience with web content management systems (ideally Wagtail CMS).

  • An innovative and creative approach to work.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team.

  • Experience in a university or large organisation environment is a plus.
