Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

Due to an internal promotion, we’re looking for someone with 2 -3 years’ experience in delivering HR advice to join our small team. The HR Advisor plays a key role in ensuring our managers are fully supported and a seamless HR service is provided to Crown Law.

We are a close-knit team dedicated to supporting a small public service agency. We also have a big work programme and a busy “business as usual” workload, so are looking for someone who is delivery focused, happy to “muck in” and build effective and trusted relationships across the team and organisation. You will have the chance to get involved in a broad range of HR functions, and lead pieces of work, but you won’t be on your own as we have a very friendly and inclusive HR team here to support you and your professional growth.

We think this is a great opportunity for someone who has had some early career experience but wants to get exposure to the breadth of offerings HR can provide and develop their business partnering experience. This role would suit someone who wants to show what they can do in a small organisation before stepping into a more senior position.

Ideally, you will bring:

  • at least 2 – 3 years’ experience in human resources, preferably with experience in a generalist background

  • experience working in a team environment to deliver good outcomes

  • knowledge of current HR principles and best practice across the employment life cycle

  • a positive attitude and a commitment to our values

In return we’ll offer:

  • flexible and supportive working environment

  • active career development through coaching and mentoring

  • an organisation that is underpinned by strong values that ‘how’ we do our work is as important as ‘what’ we do

This is an exciting role, working in a great team, in an organisation with a clear vision that makes a real difference for New Zealanders.

This role is Wellington based and located next to the Wellington bus and train station. We are a flexible organisation and team, so we’d be happy to chat about what flexible working would look like for you and how we can support that.

The appointing salary range for this role is $81,064-$100,370 with further room to progress. The appointing salary will be based on skills and experience.
