Our Supply team are the team that fuels our customers, literally! Supply at Z Energy looks after the whole fuel supply chain and maintenance of our diverse and large asset portfolio to ensure we have what we need, where we need it. Joining us as Hoa Umanga Haumaru, Oranga, Tūraru Safety, Wellbeing & Risk Business Partner would see you look after the Supply portfolio and ensure that this critical area of our business operates with safety at the forefront.
In this role you will continue with the mahi that is embedded at Z, ensuring that the culture, capability and systems required to understand the risks that we choose to take and the ways that those risks are managed are in line with Z’s organisational risk management system, legal obligations, and good practice.

This role can be based in either Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland or Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington.
You will have the opportunity to
Create partnerships to ensure the requirements of our risk management system (ZORM) are understood and implemented
Coach and build capability of the SWR team and our operational staff to ensure the requirements of these systems and obligations are met
Facilitate cyclical activities around risk reviews, incidents and change management
Conduct and act on learning processes when opportunities for improvement are identified
Operate as a visible safety leader and subject matter expert, championing safe practices at Z
Work closely with operational teams and Z Senior Leaders on both cyclical tasks and incident focused work
Travel to our operational sites regularly across Aotearoa New Zealand
Qualifications
What you’ll bring to Z
Experience in a senior Health Safety or Risk role in a complex commercial and operational environment
Conversant with relevant legislation and best practice for operational risk management practice as well as knowledge of risk management systems
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex issues and recommendations to a range of stakeholders
The ability to coach and mentor leadership teams and risk owners across the business, supporting them to design & implement risk reduction strategies
Experience driving cultural change in operational businesses with knowledge of building and executing on business plans
Skilled in the prioritisation of requests and resources
Understanding of process safety management and how this impacts the operational safety focus within the Supply network
The flexibility to commit to a regular cadence of travel, our terminal network is nationwide from Mt Maunganui to Ōtepoti Dunedin and our expectation is that every terminal would be visited every quarter along with responding to any incidents and other ad hoc visits as needed

The base salary range for this role is $152,100 to $178,950 per annum, plus 15% STI based on company performance, a 5% KiwiSaver employer contribution and health insurance through Southern Cross.
