Kua wātea te tūranga Pouhere Kaupapa Māori ki Te Rito Maioha nei. Ko tōna mahi, he whakahaere, he ārahina, he whakangungu, he tohutohu i ngā āhuatanga Māori katoa. Ka mahi ngātahi ai te tangata nei ki te taha o te Pou Whakahaere, kia whakatutuki ai ōna wawata, ā, kia whakakanohi hoki i ngā tikanga, i ngā kawa, i ngā whakaaro Māori nō roto mai i ngā mahi katoa o te tōpūtanga nei.

Mō te Tūranga | About the Role:
We’re searching for a values-led Māori leader to join us as Pouhere Kaupapa Māori — a key strategic role that ensures Māori and Pasifika perspectives are at the heart of all we do.
As Pouhere, you will:
Lead the design and implementation of Māori and Pasifika strategies
Champion bicultural integrity and uphold Te Tiriti o Waitangi
Guide staff in tikanga and culturally responsive practices
Influence the development of academic programmes through a bicultural lens
Build strong relationships with iwi, hapū, Māori organisations and communities
Maintain close liaison with government agencies and external sector stakeholders
Contribute as an active and respected member of our Senior Leadership Team
Mōu | About You:
We are looking for someone with deep cultural grounding, strong leadership and advisory experience, and a passion for equity, education, and transformation.
Hold a PhD qualification in Education, Te Ao Māori, or a related field
Research-active with a proven track record
Minimum of 5 years’ experience at a senior leadership level
Willingness and ability to travel both domestically and internationally
