Specifically, you'll be a lead advisor in the development of contemporary, evidence-based, and collaborative health services which are supported by Kaupapa Māori frameworks, policies, and processes unique to the environment within which they'll be delivered.  Naturally curious, you keep abreast of best practice both within NZ and internationally and will support a focus on fit for purpose service design through continuous review and the implementation of a quality assurance program and tools.

You should also have experience and knowledge in Māori health and achieving equitable health outcomes.

Experience with service development, including driving quality improvement, assurance processes, and performance management, is required. You should possess highly effective stakeholder engagement, relationship management, and influencing skills, developed across the wider healthcare sector. Advanced communication skills are necessary, with a proven ability to convey complex concepts to a range of stakeholders. Finally, strong cultural competence and a commitment to our practice values of Rangatira, Wairua, Whānau, Kaitiaki, and Manaaki is essential.
