Starting salary: $118-052 - $138,158​ negotiable + superannuation

Te tūnga | The role  

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Change Manager to join our change management practice within the Enterprise Portfolio Office. This is a fixed term (until end of June 2026) position based in either Wellington or Christchurch. 

You will work with our delivery teams on a wide variety of programmes and projects in the technology and business transformation space. 

You'll be accountable for the planning and delivery of change management activities including stakeholder management and communications activities such as: 

  • Conduct impact analysis, assess change readiness, and identify key stakeholders. Development and execution of change management processes and activities across all types of change including system/technical, business, cultural and/or behavioural change. 

  • Drive the identification of key engagement requirements (both internally and externally) as well as the timelines and processes to enable this. 

  • Ensure that the impacts of change are understood and communicated effectively to stakeholders and staff, s that our change initiatives 'land well' with end users  

  • Enable the design, development, delivery, and management of key communications. 

  • Provide input, document requirements, and support the design and delivery of training courses and collateral. 

  • Support and engage senior leaders and successfully implement change from identification through to embedding and sustaining the change in our business.   

  • Integrate change management activities into project plans and Azure Dev Ops boards. 

  • Collate feedback on behalf of the business to monitor progress, impact, and satisfaction of improvements.

You will be highly organised, self -managing, able to work independently and as part of a cross functional team. You will be familiar with techniques and frameworks of your discipline and comfortable delivering results in a high paced environment. 

We are looking for a motivated individual with the following in your cover letter and CV:  

  • Your experience in your craft - ideally, a proven track record of 4+ years in a change manager role across a wide range of programmes/projects and implementation mechanisms. 

  • Examples of your strong experience working with leaders and people at all levels of the organisation in a high-change environment. 

  • Information about your knowledge and experience, or desire to learn and build knowledge and experience of Te Tiriti, Tikanga, Te Reo and Te Ao Māori, and engagement with Māori. 

  • Examples of where you've demonstrated or encouraged diversity and inclusion in and/or outside of work. 

  • Demonstration of your understanding of the machinery of government and related processes and procedures 

  • Role-specific training - relevant certification in change management (e.g. Prosci, CMI accreditation, APMG) desirable.
