Community Marketing and Engagement Guru | Māngere

Are you passionate about community building and sparking meaningful connections? We're on the lookout for a Community Marketing and Engagement Guru (Community Coordinator) to join our dynamic Auckland Barnardos Early Learning team!

This position is permanent part time - 30 hours per week. 

As one of our Guru's, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Develop and execute innovative community engagement strategies for our Community Early Learning Centres

About the role:

This role is responsible for identifying, developing and assisting regional activities that directly support the growth of enrolments across Barnardos Early Learning in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland), specifically our Community based Centres.

In addition, the role is responsible for building relationships and networking with local businesses, community and identified stakeholders, to support the brand of Barnardos Early Learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and delivery of local engagement plans to increase enrolments in Early Learning Centres in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland)

  • Coordinate Barnardos attendance at community events

  • Respond to and convert parent enquiries into registrations

  • Contribute market insights and analysis to inform nationwide marketing and service annual plans

  • Champion the work of Barnardos, its brand values and our points of difference

 Skills and experience

  • Tertiary qualification - Marketing or Communications degree (will consider a graduate) 

  • Unique skills to drive and grow visibility of Barnardos Early Learning brand 

  • Strong customer service and account management experience

  • Seamless co-ordination abilities to work across various teams 

  • Self-starter who is motivated to achieve targets

  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail 

  • Confident clear verbal and written communicator

  • Excellent project and time management skills

  • Current clean  Full NZ Drivers Licence 

You will need to be resilient, be flexible with a positive attitude and have the ability to travel around the Early Learning Centers.  If you ‘fit the bill’ on these requirements we would like to hear from you!
