They are dedicated to preserving and revitalizing their te reo Māori, tikanga me kōrero tuku iho. Ngāti Apa ki te Rā Tō is stepping into a transformative era, and the Trust is looking for a visionary General Manager / Kaiwhakahaere to support the iwi to build a brighter future.
Mō te Tūranga | About the Role:
You will:
• Lead and implement the Trust's strategic vision, taking Ngāti Apa ki te Rā Tō to new heights
• Oversee effective management of assets valued at approximately $100M to ensure sustainable growth
• Foster relationships with key stakeholders and the community while driving transformational change and continuous improvement
• Provide operational oversight and governance support to the Board, ensuring adherence to kaupapa Māori and tikanga Māori frameworks
Mōu | About You:
You’ll have:
• Proven transformational capability with a history of leading effective change within the Māori, not-for-profit, or iwi sectors
• Exceptional communication and facilitation skills, capable of bringing diverse thoughts and opinions together
• The ability to communicate effectively in te reo Māori
• A strong connection to te ao Māori, preferably with ties to Ngāti Apa ki Te Rā Tō
• A people-centric approach, valuing relationships with kaimahi, whānau, and stakeholders as the heart of the organisation
• Proven executive leadership experience, particularly in asset and financial management
• In-depth understanding of Māori cultural concepts and community engagement.
• Ability to drive strategic growth and organisational development
