As a Senior Education Adviser ECE you will play a critical role in our region’s Learning Support team.

We have a permanent full-time Curriculum Adviser – Senior Secondary role at our Hamilton, Waikato office. 

The Curriculum Adviser, Senior Secondary is responsible for supporting kura and schools on the development of high-quality teaching and learning programmes with a specific focus on Senior Secondary.

As a Curriculum Adviser, you will work with the Curriculum Advisory Team to help teachers and kaiako to design and teach curriculum that supports children and young people’s learning and wellbeing.

Your focus is to provide leadership and to provide support and guidance across the Education Evaluation Centre in relation to the impact of the education system on Māori learners in both English and Māori medium. We see you bringing leadership and evaluation expertise in combination with relationship management skills to building and maintain meaningful and effective working relationships at all levels; both inside and outside the organisation.

Reporting to Team Leader Applications, this role is responsible for supporting and maintaining live applications. TEC uses a range of applications, and the Applications Analyst has expertise in at least one application and is able to provide secondary support to other applications.

Opportunities exist for passionate and enthusiastic kaiako who have a proven background in supporting ākonga. We are looking for an experienced and successful kaiako to teach courses in our Foundation Pathway Programmes, including our Foundation Māori Culture course.
